Pakyong Airport is the only airport in Sikkim that operates domestic flights connecting the major cities of India. The nearest international airport is Bagdogra Airport located at a distance of 121 km from the capital city of Gangtok.

By Train

Sikkim does not have any railway tracks within the state. New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is the nearest station located at a distance of 118 km from the city of Gangtok.

By Road

Roads are among the most suitable and popular modes of transport to reach Sikkim. Tourists can hire a car or hop onto a local taxi to reach Sikkim via National Highway 10, which connects Siliguri to Gangtok in 4-5 hours of journey.
